To overcome the adverse socio-economic consequences caused by the failure to fulfill state liabilities to the citizens of Ukraine concerning reimbursement and compensation of lost savings, and streamline this process, participants of the parliamentary hearings, held in the parliament on April 13, recommend the Cabinet of Ministers to bring forward the adjusted bill on amendments to the Law "On State Guarantees of Reimbursement of Savings of Ukrainian Citizens" regarding formation of the Register of the Savers and the Register of the Insured and the Insurers.
The Government is also recommended to draft and bring forward a new version of the Law "On State Guarantees of Reimbursement of Savings of Ukrainian Citizens" to introduce the effective tool of reimbursing the savings and support the purchasing capacity of the depositors, and to draft and bring forward the bill on amendments to the Law "On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2011" to increase the state budget expenditures for the primary functions of the state, including stage-by-stage compensation of depreciated savings (UAH 500 million).
The President of Ukraine is recommended to raise the issue concerning development of the Savings Reimbursement Program and supplemental legislative acts at the ad hoc meeting of the Committee of Economic Reforms under the President of Ukraine.
